Christmas Day

I wish that the magic of Christmas morning could last a little bit longer. It seems to take forever to come, and its gone before you know it!
We decided to have a little Christmas morning at home with just our little family before visiting all of our other family. I'm so glad that we did. It was really fun to watch Cooger open up his gift. Most of the other gifts Scott and I both knew about, but we somehow managed to still surprise each other a little bit!

Surprise #1, Dollar Shave Club. "Rake leaves, NOT YOUR FACE"

Surprise #2, Aqua Di Gio, his favorite cologne.

Being pregnant, no makeup on, and tired, I was fine not being in the pictures. But Scott surprised me with a few new clothes, jewelry, and awesome pillow cases for the living room!

A fun Christmas morning at home....then off to Grandpa and Grandmas for more fun!

A Very Merry Christmas!

This year we spent Christmas Eve with the Wuthrich's. We ate lots of good soup, snacks, and treats. Then enjoyed singing hymns while going through the nativity story. One tradition that i've been introduced to becoming part of the family that I especially love, is having a birthday cake for Jesus. We light the candles and reverently sing Happy Birthday. I love the focus it puts on Christ, and remembering his birth.
This little boy was way past his bedtime and very wild!!

You can see the tiredness, but sitting there didn't last long, of course!

After christmas jammies (which I didn't get a pictures of....darn it) we headed home to get ready for Santa Claus to come and sleep!
I love how Christmas Eve is focused on the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ.
I am so grateful for his birth and life.
It is truly because of HIM that we can be an eternal family, have eternal happiness and so much more.
MERRY CHRISTMAS 2015 from our family to yours!

A Day of Thanksgiving!

Our family is expanding quickly, and having a big dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's house just doesn't quite work anymore! So the next best option (until one of us is a millionaire with a HUGE house) is the Church Gym. All the kids love having the space to run free and be crazy. We were missing a few, but it is always fun to get together with whoever can make it!

Dinner prep with these lovely ladies.
 Indian Crafts!
This vacuum hardly left Cooger's side the entire time (which was like 6 hours).
Mom's awesome turkey relish tray, so cute!

The crew patiently waiting to stuff their bellies!
 Soooo much food!!

And this little interaction between Grandpa and Rigdon was my favorite!!!

We're so grateful for all our family and the great relationships that we have! And we're grateful that we got to stuff ourselves with such delicious food and be surrounded by so many loved ones. Another wonderful thanksgiving for the books!
xoxo
