Cooger's First Christmas

Coog made this Christmas so much more fun! Watching him open presents and play with his new toys was the best. He legitimately squealed when he saw what was inside the pretty paper he tore apart so slowly and carefully.
It was definitely one for the books.
We hope you all had a very merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Morning with the Wuthrich's

So Coog decided to wake up at 5am so we put him in our bed and played for a little bit. It was a bit too early to start Christmas so we were holding off, but the fussiness set in so we laid him back in bed and he fell right asleep! When 7 rolled around and we were ready to go, Coog was still sleeping...(Isn't that backwards that the parents were waiting for the child to wake up? haha)
It was not quite the morning I had imagined but we went with it! We planned to spend Christmas morning opening our presents over at the Wuthrich's so while Coog was still sleeping, we loaded the car. Then we finally got him up and ready to go. I was nervous that he was going to be fussy since we woke him up but he was SOOOO happy and excited!!!!

^^Coog's first gift! I was a little excited ;) So here's way too many pictures of the same things BUT I love it!!!^^

 "Say what???"

It's safe to say Coog LOVED Christmas morning! It also safe to safe we loved it too!

Christmas Eve with the Smith Family

Christmas is such a magical time of the year, and having Coog's brought a whole new fun! There is going be a lot of pictures so I'm breaking this up into 3 posts. We'll start with Christmas Eve.
Our traditional dinner consists of treats and snacking, homemade chili, and homemade cinnamon rolls! After we're all stuffed (and gassy :/) we start our program. Because our family has gotten so big over the last few years we break up the show into families. Each family gets a turn to perform or share something. The talent in our family is amazing, especially from these sweet little spirits. I love them all!

 ^^haha his new face lately!^^

^^Grandpa's tradition of reading "The Night Before Christmas" ^^

^^They performed a version of Hallelujah, it was seriously awesome!^^
^^Derek, Nesha, Ellie, Aliyah (and Abby who snuck in) sang beautifully!!^^
^^Tel and Abby were a little shy at first but once everyone started singing they cheered right up!^^
^^Taylee, Austin, and Baden sang while their mamma played the piano.^^
^^Boston and Tucker and their mamma Kaeley sang Christmas songs! The cutest.^^
^^This beautiful sister of mine has an amazing voice!^^
^^Grandma made awesome booklets for all the kids and talked about the different symbols and their meanings, it was great!^^

It wouldn't be Christmas without the Nativity story.

We followed along the story and all the adults had a part to narrate. We also sang songs in between and my sister Chan sang a beautiful solo. My mom put a lot of time and effort into it and it turned out wonderful. The spirit was so strong and I loved that we could celebrate the birth of the Savior as an eternal family. It was a wonderful Christmas Eve!!
(We missed you so much Rayland and Sarah!!!)
